MONTHLY PACKAGES AND LEASES AT TES
Horseback riding lessons may be purchased individually or at a discounted rate as part of a monthly package.
All horseback riding must be paid in advance.
There is no additional charge for months that have more than the normal number of lesson days. For example, if your lessons are on Saturdays and there are 5 Saturdays in a month, then you will have 5 lessons for the same monthly price.
There is also no deduction for months that have less than the normal number of class days or holiday closings. TES is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. TES closes early on the 4th of July and Halloween. TES opens late on New Year's Day.
In the same way that college tuition pays for a class spot, regardless of attendance, your monthly package pays for a lesson spot, regardless of attendance.
Your lesson (group or private) is on the same day of the week at the same time, every week. If you purchase a lease with practice rides, your practice rides are on the same day of the week, at the same time, every week.
Private lessons are 30 minutes long including time for mounting and adjusting tack.
Group lessons are 50 minutes long, including time for mounting and adjust tack.
Some leases include practice rides. The student will be given a 2 hour window during which to enjoy their 30 minute practice ride. Students may not ride for more than 30 minutes.
Horses must be given a minimum of 5 minutes to warm up at the walk before proceeding to trot and canter work
A student must have permision to canter in their practice ride. Not all students will be allowed to canter outside of their lessons.
No student may canter for more than 10 cumulative minutes during a practice ride.
Students may never jump during practice rides.
Students are only to ride in designated TES arenas.
Students may never have a practice ride in the Equidome.
Students may only use TES approved equipment for practice rides and lessons. Any equipment provided by the client, must be approved by the TES office prior to use.
All lessons and practice rides must be scheduled through the office.
Ride times cannot be scheduled directly with instructors. TES cares about the safety of our students and staff. It is inappropriate for a client to request the personal phone number of a staff member or instructor. It is inappropriate for a staff member or instructor to request the personal phone number of a student.
The cost of a monthly package can not be reduced for missed classes.
However, as a courtesy, 1 make-up lesson will be provided per month. Reservations must be made with the TES office for make-up rides. Make-up lessons will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:15 p.m. only in a group setting. No other days are available for make-up lessons.
Twenty-four hours' notice must be given for cancellations in order to receive a make-up.
Make-ups must be scheduled with the TES office. Make-up lessons must be taken within 4 weeks of the missed lesson.
Students are not guaranteed a specific horse for make-up lessons. Students are not gauranteed a specific instructor for make-up lessons.
Make-ups will not be provided due to lessons being taught by a substitute instructor. The cost of a monthly package cannot be reduced due to lessons being taught by a substitute instructor.
Make-ups will not be provided due to riding a substitute horse. The cost of a monthly package cannot be reduced due to lessons being taught on a substitute horse.
Make-up lessons WILL NOT be provided due to inclement weather.
In the event of inclement weather, included but not limited to rain, excessive heat or strong winds, students will receive a horsemanship class in lieu of riding.
Horsemanship classes will be provided on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and on weekdays by appointment with the TES office.
The cost of a monthly package cannot be reduced for missed practice rides.

Make-up practice rides are available Saturdays and Sundays at 3:15 p.m. and on Mondays by appointment. Make-up practice rides must be used within 4 weeks of the missed practice ride.
Make-up practice rides will not be provided due to inclement weather.
In the event of inclement weather, lease riders may still come to TES to enjoy non-riding activities with their lease horse at their usual practice ride time.
All leased horses remain the sole property of TES and the Lessee shall have no right, title, or loan to any part of said horse.
FOR LEASES - TES will do its best to provide the leased horse for every lesson and practice ride. In the event that the horse is not available due to lameness, injury, an unforeseen event or horse show, a replacement horse will be provided. Monthly charges will not be reduced because a substitute horse was provided.
Only the student may ride the horse. Friends and family members are not permitted to ride the horse.
Leased horses shall reside at TES at 480 W. Riverside Dr., Burbank, CA 91506 and shall not be removed from the property without prior written permission from TES.
The Lessee shall use proper care and good judgement in maintaining and training said horse in quality show condition or as close to as when the lease began. The Lessee agrees to follow practices of good husbandry which protect the animal from suffering, illness or injury.
TES will provide all required immunizations, regular veternary care, regular farrier care, adequate food, water and bedding.
Monthly packages and leases are offered at the sole discretion of TES management. TES may revoke the monthly package at any time, for any reason. A pro-rated refund will be furnished for revoked monthly packages.
We may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any feature of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.
We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these terms or any applicable laws or regulations. You may discontinue use and request to cancel your account and/or any service at any time. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing, with respect to automatically-renewed subscriptions to paid services, such subscriptions will be discontinued only upon the expiration of the respective period for which you have already made payment.
